“Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work, but it’s worth the effort”

-Fred Rogers

Therapy isn’t easy. Therapy can be uncomfortable and intense. It isn’t a magic fix for all of your problems. Anyone who tells otherwise is bullshitting you.

Existing in a world that’s built for neurotypical people is overwhelming for people who think differently. It’s easy to feel isolated or like you don’t quite fit in. As someone with lived experience with ADHD, Autism, trauma, and Tourette Syndrome, I deeply relate. People with ADHD have a lot of shame and trauma that builds up over years of dealing with people who don’t understand. Together we’ll work through the self-doubt and shame, overcome procrastination, and build motivation through thought process and behavior changes. I’ll help you develop tools to manage stress and understand your emotions, and process the trauma and anxiety of life. I’ll sit with you as we deal with intense emotions, challenge what is holding you back, and empower what is helping you, whether it be beliefs, behaviors, skills, or support.

My treatment style is relational and flexible, not stiff. I use a blend of cognitive, behavioral, relational, and existential treatment methods. The neurodivergent brain works differently, and understanding those differences is essential for making changes, managing stress, completing tasks, and adding structure and motivation to daily life. We’ll work with what you come into the session with, probably make a few sarcastic jokes, and leave with a better mindset. I am also trained in trauma focused treatment methods and Written Exposure Therapy for trauma.

You already have the ability to better yourself and your life, even if someone convinced you otherwise. I have helped many people break free of these negative voices holding them back and regain control of their lives. It’s hard to find a good fit for a therapist, and I’d love to connect to see if we are a good fit if you are ready.

Practical skills

I offer tools and techniques to help with struggles in daily life. With ADHD, I use cognitive, relational, and behavioral strategies to overcome barriers to progress, improve motivation, and challenge shame. I also heavily use cognitive and behavioral interventions like challenging unhealthy core beliefs, using schedules to maintain task momentum, and more.
